What happens when illustrators bring their drawings to life, using motion to create an immersive world that you can step into?
What does an exhibition look like when it’s not just something to to look at, but something to touch, to move with your own hands? Or maybe with many hands?
The exhibition In the Same Boat was created by 14 talented illustrators, in collaboration with the team behind the LUSTR Illustration and Comics Festival. Here, you’ll meet a robot that can only draw when operated by four hands, explore an animal dating site where creatures find their perfect match, discover a book made for giants by an entire village, even contribute to a mural in progress that needs your help. This interactive exhibition celebrates illustrators who create for and with children, and reminds us that we’re all in the same boat.
So grab a friend, a father, a mother, a grandparent, a neighbor – or bring your whole class – and come to Labyrinth. The more hands on deck, the more fun the journey will be!
