Performance Hydepark .- On the (Non-)Direct(ed)ness of Performance

Early radical performance pieces from the 60s excluded typical theatrical elements such as duality of theatre, actors, roles, plots, rehearsals and repetitions, stage, given temporal frame, but even sufficed without the audience. Is there still a difference between theatre and performance art today? Distinguished Czech performers will answer.

Performance could be pretty much anything. Therefore performance can be also nothing in particular – merely the in-between or the intersection of manifold human activities. We thus attempt to point out the potential of performance in its extraordinary variety (from sport, business to e.g. cooking), which invites for its pedagogical application.
